Warehouse Manager 

Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity of Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will manage the warehouse to ensure the smooth flow of goods inwards and outwards and ensure effective stock control.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Effective management of warehouse / stock control and general day to day related operations
  • Manage and lead the Warehouse Team on a day to day basis
  • Responsible for ensuring all deliveries into the warehouse are checked by the team and entered into the stock system whilst, at the same time, recording and notifying all shortfalls or damages relating to the delivery immediately.
  • Responsible for ensuring pick stocks for despatch from appropriate instruction are accurate.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all items required for each delivery teams load are present and correct in time for loading.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all goods are stored in an appropriate manner, correctly located and clearly identified.
  • Ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual stock takes of all stocks are carried out at specified times, recorded and uploaded onto the system.
  • Ensuring Pre-delivery Inspection of all products for despatch to customers is carried out to ensure that they are operating correctly and free of damage.
  • Ensure that any PDI failures are logged and reported to appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is accurately completed to accompany any goods leaving the premises via couriers or to be returned to suppliers.
  • Liaising with the Factory on any production issues whilst maintaining a good working relationship at all times.
  • Maintain good house keeping. Ensuring the correct disposal of recyclable materials and other rubbish.
  • Responsible for all training, recruitment and HR related issues within the Warehouse
  • Respond to incoming calls as necessary.
  • Cover the duties of the Warehouse Supervisor as required during periods of absence.
  • Work in a safe manner with due care for the safety of yourself and others within your working environment.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary

Person Specification:

Strong Leadership and management experience essential

Experience in warehouse computer systems essential

Motivated and driven

Advantageous:

Fork Lift Licence – Counter Balance and Reach

Health and Safety – Risk Assessments

Experienced Upholsterers

This is a well-established business with a high demanding customer base.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced Upholsterers to join our extremely busy friendly team based at our factory in Brierley Hill, West Midlands.

The role:

  • Upholstery of bespoke chairs
  • Use of hand tools such as staple guns and drills.
  • Working to tight deadlines.
  • General housekeeping of work area.
  • Skills and Experience:
  • The ability to produce a good quality product with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work quickly to meet production deadlines..
  • 1-2 years previous experience in the Upholstery Industry in a similar role is essential.

Salary competitive depending on experience.

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break; overtime available and bonus scheme after probationary period

28 days holiday per year. Additional holiday awarded on length of service.
